The Stars by Kathleen Reid – 2022

Stars

When I look out the window on this crisp and frosty night

I see a swarm of golden stars, the most amazing sight.

They’re flashing here, they’re dancing there, they’re chasing everywhere.

But what about those who live under these stars?

The homeless, the lost and the wanderer.

And what about those who are lonely tonight?

The sick, the bereaved and the scared.

May the bright jewels of heaven be their beacon tonight,

May the glow of the moon light their hearts.

And as dusk turns to dawn, may the light of the morn

Bring fresh hope for the new day ahead.
