I have a special friend

I’d like the world to know

He’s with me everyday

Everywhere I go

Whenever I get weary

When the world seems hard to bear

I put my head on his shoulder

And leave my worries there

Through every pain and sorrow

In sunshine or in rain

I turn and look around me 

And see him standing there

Although I often nag him

Say things that hurt him so

I know down deep within me

He knows I love him so

So take away my possessions

Take everything I own

Just leave me with my lifeline

My own true special friend

My husband
